Acupuncture – Needling Methods

The rotation of the needles is a precious method to move and guide the QI in the right direction and get the proper result. Clockwise (reinforcing) and anti-clockwise (reducing) is not the right understanding regarding the rotation of the needles. The rotation depends on the flow of the channel qi. If one grasps this understanding, the needling will change and one will achieve a much better result. This is what I learned from my TCM and Qi Gong teachers. Everything in nature moves in a spiral way, even the water from the tap and bath tube. If we look at the sun, the planets and the moon, the spinning movement of the planets is the key to understand how the needles should be manipulated to achieve a good result.
