The Birth of Light
A winter retreat to celebrate the birth of Christ, the birth of the clear light of the primordial mind in each one of us. A moment of contemplation in peace and love. This retreat will be dedicated to the light ofChrist, but also to the Three Wise Men who came from Iran to show their respect and devotion to this extraordinary being, the Infant Jesus.
The subject of this retreat will be the unborn light of Christ, the primordial wisdom which shines in every one of us and was at the origin of the world, but the world did not recognize it (Saint John).
Claude will explain the symbolism of the Three Wise Men – the three kings who came from Persia and their alchemistic meaning. The crib, the cow, the donkey and the star of Sirius will also be a core subject during these days. A symbolism which includes alchemy and even astronomy.
The retreat will be bilingual English-German.
The birth of the Child Jesus is full of mysteries, but the most significant revelation is that of the unborn light that enlightens every one in this world, the parthenogenesis of God is also what we call the Virgin Mary.
You are all invited to share this moment with us, to close 2019 in peace and silence and to celebrate with us the start of the New Year.

The program will look like this (spontaneous changes are possible and likely):
10h to 13h: teachings and meditation
Lunch break from 13h to 16h
16h to 19h: teachings and meditation, painting studio (icons)
In addition, we will certainly make a fire puja early in the morning (participation voluntary) and in one evening a meditation and candle offering for the deceased.
One day we will make an excursion to Valle Santa (Greccio, Fonte Colombo, Poggio Bustone, La Foresta) and visit these important places in the history of Saint Francis. We will also travel with the group to Laverna, the place where San Francesco received the Stigmata.
It is recommended for all retreats to bring offerings, above all:
1- Saffron
2- Medicinal herbs and incense
3- Flowers for the altar
4- Candles for thealtar
Offerings are an important support for every meditator and should not be underestimated. As a offering you should not bring something you no longer need at home, but something precious like saffron, medicinal plants, incense of high quality, candles made of beeswax, precious stones for the altar etc. All offerings are placed in the mandala and can be taken home again after the retreat.
Our centre does not offer any catering facilities. We recommend that you register for lunch at the nearby Agriturismo Re Artu (this registration will take place later). For the price of 20€ they offer fresh, healthy and vegetarian food for our group. However, everyone is free to arrange their lunch break individually.
Very important: We have enough space for 30 participants.
The meditation text will be given to the participants for the retreat.

Important: If you are unable to attend the seminar, you can cancel your registration free of charge up to 3 months before the start of the course. 3 months to 1 month before the seminar 50% of the course costs will be charged if you cancel your registration. 1 month to 1 day before the start of the course you have to pay 75% of the course fees if you cancel. If you do not attend the course or cancel at the beginning of the course, 100% of the course fees will be charged.
